To mark the event, which falls on August 28 of each year, a group of female employees from the Corporation organized a day visit to the Women’s Museum in Dubai.
The ET delegation was received by Dr. Rafia Ghubash, founder of the Women’s Museum, who briefed the group on the major successes and achievements of Emirati women, across the various fields, since the formation of the union.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services at ET, acclaimed the successful role played by women in the UAE and called on all ET female employees to continue working hard to emulate that success and make their own contribution to the success of the nation.
She stated: “The Emirati women are proving day after day their worthiness, efficiency and continuous excellence in various fields. This would not have been possible without the great support that our wise leadership has given to women by empowering and arming them with knowledge and skill. Women have become a major engine of development and an important factor in its advancement.”
At the conclusion of the visit, the ET delegation expressed their gratitude to the museum organisers for their hospitality and the great work they have undertaken to highlight the role of Emirati women in all aspects of life.
