Emirates Transport wins 9 local and international awards during 2017

Dubai: Emirates Transport Media Dept.
Emirates Transport (ET) has won 9 local, regional and international awards in 2017 as a result of its efforts to implement innovative and pioneering local and international practices.
Hanan Mohammed Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services Division at ET, said that the Corporation has adopted a number of strategic objectives in its plans that contribute to achieving excellence in service performance and gives it an advantage in an increasingly competitive market.
Saqer highlighted the importance of continuing the approach of excellence and making more efforts during the year to attain more honourable awards and ensure that all services are provided according to the highest international standards of quality, efficiency and transparency, in line with the vision of the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed Ali Al Tamimi, manager of the Department of Strategic Planning and Corporate Excellence at ET, said: “The nine awards won by the Corporation included the Best Innovation in the Field of Traffic Safety in the Public Sector, during the 2017 Middle East Roads and Bridges Forum, winning in two categories in the Arabia CSR Awards, the Arabian Eagle Awards, a win in the Innovation category in the Field of Volunteerism and Humanitarian Work at the Ideas UAE Awards, the Best Community Practices category in the RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards, and two categories in the BIZZ Excellence Awards, in the categories of ‘Successful Leader’ and ‘Enterprise Excellence in Business’.
Al Tamimi said that ET also registered intellectual property rights for five innovative works during 2017, namely the Integrated Management System for the Department of Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, the training curricula for school transport drivers and bus supervisors, the operations system of Emirates Transport Driving Institute, and the specialist training programmes for technicians working in road side assistants.
Furthermore, he added, the Corporation successfully registered two trademark labels with the Ministry of Economy, namely for the Emirates Transport Driving Institute and for the Etihad CNG Conversion Centre.
