Emirates Transport (ET) has welcomed the new university academic year by providing transport services through 753 buses to transfer over 10,000 students to-and-from a number of colleges, universities and academic institutes in the UAE.
Bader Al Attar, executive director of Transport and Leasing in Dubai and Sharjah at ET, revealed that much effort had gone into the preparations for the start of the 2019-2020 university academic year, in accordance with the highest applicable standards of safety and quality.
Al Attar that these preparations included training programmes for bus drivers, which cover a wide range of issues such as traffic safety, first aid, and dealing with emergency situations, as well as matters related to customer services.
ET’s university transport services was first established nearly 20 years ago and is now provided to a number of universities, colleges and institutes across the UAE.
Some of these include Khalifa University, Emirates University, Higher Colleges of Technology for Women in Dubai, Zayed University, Sharjah University, Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah, American University in the UAE, Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, Sorbonne University, Al Reef University, Al Jazeera Institute and other higher education institutions.
