Emirates Transport (ET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (Rakta) to achieve cooperation between the two parties in areas related to their transport activities, establishing common business rules and enhancing strategic trade relations.
The MoU was signed by Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, ET general manager, and Maktoum Nasser Merdid, chairman of the RAK Transport Authority, in the presence of a number of officials and employees from the two parties.
Both sides welcomed the signing of the MoU and expressed their confidence that it would cement their mutual relationship.
Al Jarman affirmed that the MoU will open wider horizons for fruitful cooperation that satisfies the aspirations of the two parties and achieves their objectives and enhances their capabilities which will reflect positively on their customers and beneficiaries of their services.
For his part, Maktoum Nasser Merdid praised the efforts of Emirates Transport, noting its extensive experience and presence in the country’s transport markets. He also stressed that the MoU constitutes an important addition to the strategic relationship between the two sides and expressed his confidence that it will be a prelude to further cooperation.
At the signing of the memorandum, the parties discussed the joint work and ways of activating the possible opportunities. It was agreed to form committees to study common areas, especially the technical services field, and to hold periodic meetings between representatives of both parties and strengthen the cooperation process.
