Emirates Transport has renewed its certificates in the Integrated Management System, after successfully passing the evaluation and auditing processes carried out by LRQA, the leading global assurance provider.

Faryal Tawakul, Acting CEO of Emirates Transport, stated that the integrated management system is one of the most important international standards, and it is necessary to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basis, which falls in line with the corporate values of Emirates Transport.

LRQA, the ISO certification company, had completed the external audit rounds on the integrated management system, which were implemented over 12 working days through 5 auditors from the company, and covered 34 organizational units and work sites, including all departments, business centres, branches and sites at various company locations.

Khaled Shukur, manager of the Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety Department, said that the audits included seven different administrative specifications, namely the quality management system, the environment management system, the occupational health and safety management system, the road traffic safety system, the risk management system and the information security management system, adding that the audits also covered the level of application of the legislative framework for the Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management System approved by the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre.

Shukur pointed out that the audit outcome resulted in a set of recommendations aimed at continuous development of performance, in accordance with the highest standards and requirements, in light of which appropriate improvement plans are being developed. He stressed that the company pays great attention to continuously developing the capabilities of its employees in the technical and specialized fields to keep pace with the latest administrative systems. For his part, Yahya Abu Obila, head of the LRQA audit team, praised the success of Emirates Transport in passing the audits and earning the eligibility for renewal of its certificates, praising the interest of the senior leadership in Emirates Transport and their role in continuous development and improvement processes, and the application of system requirements, which is reflected positively on the performance of the various organizational units.
