Emirates Transport (ET) participated in the annual conference organized by the National Association for Student Transportation (NAPT) in the US State of Ohio, which took place from 1 to 5 November 2019.
The event aims to showcase the latest smart technology to develop school transport, as well as safety systems and advanced technological services in school buses.
Abdulla Abdulrahman Al Ali, manager of Operations in Dubai and Sharjah, and head of the delegation, pointed to the Corporations’ constant endeavour to promote practices that comply with international and local standards in traffic safety, and to provide school transport services to the highest levels.
He explained that the conference emphasised the required support and development of the skills of those responsible for safe and effective transport services for school students, and the promotion of a safety culture among the various beneficiary groups of the community.
The Emirates Transport delegation was briefed on the services of buses industry and specialized equipment in school buses, legal bases and international legislations in transporting school students, in addition to identifying the services and bases of safe transport for students with special needs, benefiting from data and statistics related to school transport and how to connect them to achieve safety and security of mobility by reducing accidents, learn about the latest studies using seatbelts, and use the tablets in the bus.
The head of the delegation stressed the importance of the ET’s participation in the conference, considering that NAPT is an international organisation with a long experience in the field of school transport.
