Emirates Transport (ET) will today (Friday) conclude its successful participation in the 42nd edition of GITEX Global 2022, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, between October 10 to 14, after exhibiting some of its smart digital solutions and systems.
Faryal Tawakul, Acting CEO of Emirates Transport, expressed her delight with the company’s participation in such a global tech event, stressing ET’s keenness to participate in this annual exhibition, which attracts the most prominent influencers in the technology sector from around the world.
Tawakul added that the company is moving forward towards its strategic goals in digitization and smart transformation, and that it is proud today to participate in the current edition of GITEX Global 2022, where the Emirates Transport platform provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about a selection of its most prominent digital solutions and smart applications.
The company is showcasing four of the recently adopted and developed smart digital systems, among which is the “Maaman” platform, which provides various solutions including operational dashboards to monitor the daily bus trips for each school. Another app can be used by school bus supervisors to record students’ attendance and report any emergency situations during trips, in addition to the parents’ application that allows parents to be notified about the attendance of their children and their locations during daily school bus trips and enables them to communicate directly with the supervisor on the bus.
The company also offers Route Optimization services, a system for planning and continually improving student transport routes, using special algorithms that optimises the school transport service according to the available resources and student locations. Another system introduced by ET is the “OneET” application, a broad application that is constantly being developed to eventually include all the various services of the company in one portal. It currently represents a platform for parents to request transport services from Emirates Transport for each student separately, whether s/he is studying in public or private schools or even universities.
Emirates Transport also showcased the Car Share platform, a mobile phone application provided by the company to employees of companies and institutions in the government and private sectors, allowing them to self-lease vehicles and unlock them for use, with the ability to track and monitor the location and availability of vehicles on offer.
During its participation in the exhibition, the company held several coordination and networking meetings with delegations of various companies and government and private institutions and signed a number of memoranda of understanding.
