Members of the British Standards Institute (BSI) team praised the advanced level achieved by Emirates Transport (ET) in applying the requirements of the ISO 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety (RTS) management system certification, which was directly reflected in the reduction of traffic accidents and injuries resulting from them.
The certificate previously granted to Emirates Transport came after the completion and success of the audits and follow-up carried out by the Institute, which lasted for four working days in a number of the Corporation’s locations spread in all areas of the country.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of the Corporate Services Division at Emirates Transport, stressed the importance of continuing to strictly adhere to the road traffic safety management system, in line with the Corporation’s commitment to implement the highest safety standards in all its operations.
Saqer pointed to the continuous improvement achieved by the Corporation in terms of performance indicators associated with the RTS standard, in terms of reducing the rates of traffic accidents and injuries.
For his part, Khalid Shukur, manager of ET’s Department of Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety, explained that the inspection visits by the BSI teams covered a number of Corporation’s sites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, as well as the various administrative departments related to the requirements of the system.

Emirates Transport (ET) celebrated the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates in a major ceremony held at Al Dhaid Station
