Nine employees who completed their national service duties and returned to their posts were honoured by Emirates Transport (ET).
Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, ET general manager, welcomed back the returning employees and applauded the commitment they have shown towards their national duty.
He said: “The national service initiative has greatly benefit the nation by helping to prepare the young generation to lead the future building of our country. As such, we all owe them the support and encouragement necessary to help them carry out their honourable duty.”
Addressing the returning employees, Al Jarman added: “You were ambassadors of Emirates Transport during your service to the homeland, and now you are role models to your colleagues at work, because we all aspire to serve our country under one flag.”
The nine returning employees were away from their workplace for a period of 10 months and were the latest in a series of employees to have completed their national service duties.
They were presented with the ET Medal of Honour during a small ceremony at ET’s head office in Dubai.
