The Corporation won the award for the Road Assist Unit initiative which aims to provide effective tools to improve the quality of road transport through the provision of operational mechanisms, systems and a contact centre equipped with the latest smart technology that will provide the required assistance to ensure safe transport without hindrance for all road users. This is achieved through the aid of the broken down vehicle, including assistance in the supply of fuel, repair and replacement of tyres, recharging the battery and the removal of liquid substances or debris from the road, in accordance with safety standards. This is unique and comprehensive service provided by Emirates Transport, aided by smart technologies that is linked to the operations room, enabling ET’s vehicle to achieve a response time of 15 minutes.
