Emirates Transport successfully renewed its certificate of approval from the Abu Dhabi Centre for Environment, Health and Safety (OSHAD), after meeting all the basic requirements of the legislative framework for the HSE system of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, ET General Manager, expressed his delight with the accreditation after receiving the official certification, as well as the certificate for the ISO 39001:2012 for Road Safety System which was also renewed at the end of last year.
Al Jarman commented: “Renewing this certification confirms the serious attention paid by Emirates Transport to the implementation of development measures and the application of quality initiatives.
“We are committed to promoting environmental concepts and follow global best practices in the field of health and safety, and improving safety standards in all our buildings and locations scattered throughout the state, in accordance with the approved legislation and specifications of the concerned authorities in the state” added Al Jarman.
Hanan Saqer, Executive Director of Corporate Services at ET, said that in order to get this certification Emirates Transport carried out and developed many procedures and processes across its various locations in Abu Dhabi.
Saqer added that the corporation was awarded an Accreditation for internal self-reliance in updating its HSE management system, proceeding to restructure the system and re-formulate and develop new procedures and job functions, in accordance with the legislative framework and requirements of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
