Emirates Transport (ET) received the RAKEZ Business Excellence Award 2017 awarded by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah through the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah.
The federal transport corporation received the award in the category of Best Corporate Social Responsibility for its excellence in providing various transport services to educational, government and commercial institutions.
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority (RAKEZ), accompanied by Shaikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah, handed the award to representatives of ET during a ceremony at the Rixos Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah.
RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards 2017, in its fourth edition, aims to honour companies with the most outstanding performances and the greatest impact in advancing the economic development of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in particular, and the State in general.
The award is awarded to companies and institutions that implement community responsibility practices in all aspects of society and the environment. The award is also given to companies with the greatest impact, while at the same time reaching the stage of excellence in all aspects of their business including its growth momentum, leadership and financial performance.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, general manager of Emirates Transport, expressed his pleasure for winning this award, noting that this achievement is the result of the efforts of the Corporation’s team in the fields of sustainability and social responsibility.
Emirates Transport has a long record of achievements and awards in the field of social responsibility, the latest of which was the UAE Ideas Award which it won for Creativity in the Field of Volunteering and Humanitarian Work, the Arab Corporate Social Responsibility Award and the Dubai Chamber CSR Label, which it won for the fifth consecutive time.
