Emirates Transport (ET) offered its warmest congratulations to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.
To mark the event, which falls on the 8th of March of each year, Emirates Transport organized a women only gathering at its Dubai headquarters, attended by a number of employees.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services at ET, acclaimed the successful role played by women in the UAE and called on all ET female employees to continue working hard to emulate that success and make their own contribution to the success of the nation.
During the meeting, Saqer highlighted the importance of the role of women in promoting self-development, pointing out that there are many women and leadership models that are role models stimulating and encouraging other women in the UAE to prove their worth and playing a leading role in promoting and supporting the process of development in the state.
It is worth mentioning that the proportion of women representation in the senior management category at ET amounts to 12.3%, out of the total number of female employees numbering 4,709, which represents 24.3% of the total workforce at the federal transport corporation.
