Dubai: Emirates Transport Media Dept.
Emirates Transport (ET) celebrated the silver Jubilee of its periodic magazine, which bears the name of the Corporation, with the issuance of its 70th edition.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, ET general manager, congratulated and thanked all the editorial teams that worked on the publication throughout a quarter of a century, and since the first edition, in April 1993.
He stated that the then new publication was an important moment in the history of the Corporation, in terms of its media, awareness and community relations, pointing out that the new edition of the “Emirates Transport” magazine coincides with the 37th anniversary of the Corporation.
Al Jarman added that the magazine’s first issue was published as a modest newsletter, before taking on a more modern style in 2011 to become a more complete and distinguished magazine in terms of form and content, and the voice of the organization’s media and its constant companion.
The ET general manager appreciated the role of the magazine, stressing that it has always represented one of the most prominent organisational practices by Emirates Transport, especially since it is one of the oldest regularly published magazines by a government agency, in the country.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services at ET, said that the new look of the magazine has been considered in a scientific and systematic manner. The latest updates were made after the ET Media Communication Department carefully studied the latest trends in the corporate magazine world.
