Emirates Transport Launches New Updates and Enhancements to Auto Inspection Services

  • 750 vehicles benefit daily from the Centre’s services in line with the highest standards of efficiency and safety across the UAE.

Emirates Transport (ET) has announced the implementation of a series of new updates and qualitative enhancements to the services of its Auto Inspection Centre. The initiative aims to improve the efficiency and smooth flow of operational processes and elevate the quality of services provided to customers, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to further develop the auto inspection system and expand service accessibility across the UAE.

As part of the latest developments, the Centre has recently introduced a remote theoretical auto inspection service, delivered through video communication platforms, enabling inspection services for machinery and equipment located on islands while reducing time and effort for customers. In addition, an advance appointment booking service has been introduced at the Musaffah and Mezyad stations to minimise waiting times and improve service efficiency.

These enhancements build on previous updates that extended mobile auto inspection services to operate throughout the week, including public holidays, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, in line with customer requirements and to provide greater flexibility for companies and owners of heavy vehicles and equipment in scheduling and completing inspection procedures at convenient times.

The Centre will also implement special operational arrangements during the Eid Al Adha holiday at the auto inspection stations in Musaffah, Mezyad, and Madinat Zayed, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of essential services and accommodating increased demand during peak periods.

In this regard, Mr Abdullateif Abdulla Al Ansari, Vehicle Inspection Centre  Manager at Emirates Transport, affirmed that these updates form part of the Centre’s continuous development plans aimed at enhancing service efficiency and customer experience.

He said: “We continue to develop the auto inspection system in line with leading operational practices. The latest enhancements represent an important step towards strengthening operational flexibility, particularly through the introduction of the advance booking service at Musaffah and Mezyad, the expansion of mobile inspection service operating hours, and the launch of the remote inspection service for equipment located on islands. These initiatives reflect the Centre’s strong commitment to delivering practical and flexible solutions that meet the requirements of the heavy vehicle and equipment sector, while ensuring operational continuity in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and safety.”

Al Ansari added: “We are committed to acquiring the latest equipment and leveraging advanced technologies and field capabilities to ensure the delivery of accurate, fast, and reliable services that support road safety systems and enhance the quality of government services.”

The Centre Manager also praised the cooperation with strategic partners, particularly the Integrated Transport Centre (Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Sector), Fujairah Police, and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), noting that such collaboration continues to support the UAE’s transport and safety ecosystem.

He confirmed that, supported by these partnerships, the Centre continues to deliver its services with high efficiency, recording approximately 78,372 auto inspection procedures during the first quarter of 2026, with an average daily productivity of 750 vehicles across all locations. The total number of auto inspection procedures conducted during 2025 exceeded 312,933 inspections.

The Centre currently operates 9 stations, including 8 stations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi located in Musaffah, Al Faya, Mazyad, Al Saad, Al Hayer, Al Quaa, Madinat Zayed, and Ghayathi, in addition to one station in the Emirate of Fujairah. The Centre also operates an advanced mobile inspection system comprising 3 mobile inspection units for heavy vehicles and 10 fully equipped vehicles for heavy equipment inspection, ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage of work sites across the UAE throughout the week.
