Emirates Transport (ET) honoured 85 employees and administrative units during the Emirates Transport Excellence Awards 2018 which recognises the work of outstanding performers.
The event was held at InterContinental Festival City Hotel – Dubai, under the patronage of H.E. Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Chairman of Emirates Transport, and was attended by hundreds of employees from across the country.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Jarman, ET general manager, lauded the culture of excellence at the federal transport corporation and called on employees to challenge themselves to achieve even greater heights. He also highlighted the role of the UAE leadership in inspiring excellence as the way forward for all government employees.   
He said: “With the start of 2018, the Corporation began implementing its new strategic plan for 2018-2022, which was approved by the Board of Directors, and it is the pillar for a new start in our quest to continue our successes on the financial and institutional levels.
“We need to be more prepared and ready at Emirates Transport to deal with this change and shift, to work more quickly to accelerate our operations and to streamline our operating procedures in order to meet the demands of this gradual shift in our business.,” he added.  
Al Jarman praised the hard work and innovation of ET employees over the past year, which led to higher revenues and improved business results across the board.
Various categories were honoured during the ceremony including best business centres and department, best administrator, rising stars, drivers, auto technicians, as well as paying tribute to long-serving employees.
The award was first launched in 1997, and it grew rapidly across all levels and categories, and in the number of participants, and today it celebrates more than twenty years of excellence and creativity at Emirates Transport.
