Emirates Transport: First Entity to Join the “Tahweel” Platform for Waste Recycling

As part of its partnership with BEEAH Group and in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Emirates Transport proudly joins the “Tahweel” platform, becoming the first entity from both the public and private sectors to officially register on this national platform for recyclable materials exchange in the UAE.
This milestone follows a Memorandum of Understanding with re.life, a subsidiary of BEEAH Group, through which a strategic waste management partnership will be implemented across 40 Emirates Transport sites, starting from collection and transportation via re.life collect platform, through treatment and recovery by the parent company BEEAH, and finally listing recyclable materials on the Tahweel platform, making Emirates Transport the leading contributor to the UAE’s first fully digital national marketplace for recyclable materials.
The MoU was signed at BEEAH Group’s headquarters in Sharjah by Rashid Khalfan Almheiri, Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer of Emirates Transport, and Fahad Ali Shehail, CEO of Environment at BEEAH.
The signing of this memorandum reaffirms Emirates Transport’s steadfast commitment to supporting and advancing government efforts aimed at strengthening the UAE’s leadership in achieving sustainable development goals. It also underscores the company’s dedication to expanding the adoption and implementation of eco-friendly practices and transformative government projects, while contributing to the development of the circular economy framework in the country — all in pursuit of a robust economic structure that serves the community, embraces sustainability, and addresses environmental challenges with awareness and professionalism.
