Emirates Transport Driving Institute Achieves “Zero Complaints” and Tops Road Test Results in Dubai
The Emirates Transport Driving Institute (ETDI) in Dubai, a subsidiary of Emirates Transport (ET), has achieved a new milestone after being awarded the “Zero Complaints” certificate, in addition to ranking first across the Emirate of Dubai for the highest road test pass rate. This achievement came as part of the annual evaluation conducted by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for driving training institutes in the emirate.
The institute was honoured during the annual ceremony announcing the results of 2025, recently organised by the RTA, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, and Mr. Sultan Al Akraf, Director of Drivers Licensing at the Licensing Agency, along with representatives of driving institutes and strategic partners. The ceremony officially announced the annual evaluation results and recognised outstanding entities.
This achievement reflects the continuation of similar successes in previous years and crowns the institute’s sustained efforts to enhance training efficiency and improve customer experience. During 2025, approximately 12,300 trainees successfully obtained their driving licences through the institute, achieving the highest road test success rate in the emirate. This underscores the quality of its training programmes and facilities, as well as the efficiency of its technical and administrative teams.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Abdalla Abdelrahman, Country Director of the Emirates Transport Driving Institute, stated:
“We are proud of this achievement, which reflects the institute’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive and safe training experience that meets regulatory and customer expectations, while achieving the highest levels of quality and satisfaction.”
He noted that obtaining the “Zero Complaints” certificate alongside first place in road test results is the outcome of continuous teamwork and sustained investment in staff development, infrastructure enhancement, modern training methodologies, and smart technologies. These efforts align with the directions of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and the UAE’s vision for the transport sector and translate Emirates Transport’s continuous development plans into tangible results.
He added that the institute continues to develop its infrastructure and digital services, having transitioned to a new smart parking yard training system. Training vehicles have also been upgraded to smart vehicles capable of recognising training and testing manoeuvres, equipped with five cameras and smart sensors, in addition to an integrated control tower. The yard supports five approved training manoeuvres, contributing to higher trainee readiness and improved pass rates.
The institute currently operates hundreds of modern and diverse training vehicles, fully equipped to meet the needs of various trainee categories. It also employs hundreds of certified male and female instructors of different nationalities, working in accordance with the highest professional standards approved by the relevant authorities.
ETDI also utilises advanced training technologies, most notably smart simulation systems for light vehicle driving training. These simulators replicate real traffic conditions and provide detailed reports on trainees’ strengths and areas for improvement, enabling instructors to focus on aspects requiring enhancement during practical training and ensuring compliance with RTA-approved success benchmarks.
As part of its plans, the institute revealed an expansion strategy to extend its services across most areas of Dubai, enhancing its presence and accessibility for customers throughout the emirate. In parallel, it is working on upgrading the current system and launching a fully integrated smart platform to streamline the customer journey end to end, in line with digital transformation trends and future requirements. The project has reached its final stages in collaboration with the appointed consultant.
The institute is also distinguished by the high efficiency and smoothness of its training and testing processes, significantly increasing the likelihood of first-attempt success. This factor is key in attracting customers seeking speed, quality, and high success rates. ETDI further provides integrated support services through its website and call centre via the toll-free number 8006006, ensuring prompt response and ease of communication across the UAE.
Beyond driving training, the institute plays a pivotal role in specialised professional training, delivering advanced programmes that include training for transport supervisors, bus safety supervisors, drivers, and employees of companies and external entities. More than 30,421 trainees have benefited from these programmes, with a total of 139,777 training hours, in addition to training over 11,880 trainees from external companies with a total of 59,400 training hours.
Currently, the institute is offering special promotions in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, alongside exclusive corporate offers at competitive rates, reflecting its commitment to meeting the needs of various customer segments and promoting a culture of road safety within the community.
