Emirates Transport (ET) held a management review meeting of the Integrated Management System at the company’s head office in Dubai, attended by executive managers and managers of quality and safety in the operational zones.
The meeting was organised in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the applied system and to review its policy and objectives by assessing the opportunities for improvement.
The meeting discussed a number of topics including reviewing audit and internal control practices, initiatives related to benchmarking visits, as well as reviewing the accidents system, contingency plans and legislations.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services Division, said that the concepts and practices of quality, safety, health and the environment have transcended the workplace to a culture and lifestyle lived by individuals within a society.
During the meeting, Khaled Shukur, HSE Department manager, gave a visual presentation on the activities and programmes implemented within the framework of the Integrated Management System (IMM) and the related objectives, in order to discuss and develop them further in the coming period.
Shukur illustrated the criteria of IMS which includes the implementation of systems particular to the HSE department, as well as the quality of training, and ways to deal with customer satisfaction and complaints.
