Emirates Transport announced that it has completed 18 initiatives during 2017 as part of its commitment to implement its commitments in the field of corporate social responsibility, in line with the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which dedicated the 2017 as “Year of Giving”.
Hanan Saqer, executive director of Corporate Services at Emirates Transport, said that the initiatives and projects carried out by the Corporation last year would not have been possible without the great efforts of its employees and the cooperation of the relevant community bodies.
Saqer explained that some of these initiatives included the provision of free advertising space for community bodies, organising free Umrah trips for drivers, auto technicians and bus supervisors, the distribution of Eid clothes for the needy and the “Support a Colleague” initiative, which helps employees going through difficult times.
Saqer expressed her pride in the various ET work teams for their efforts in promoting community responsibility programmes, stressing that the Corporation is continuing to implement new initiatives for the upcoming year, which was dedicated by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to celebrate the life of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
