Emirates Transport (ET) has been awarded the Approved Employer statues by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) which recognises employers’ high standards of staff training and development.
Feryal Tawakul, executive director of the Support Services Division at ET, received the certificate from Fazeela Gopalani, Head of Middle East ACCA, during a meeting held at ET’s head office in Dubai in attendance of ET’s Chief Financial Officer, Rachid Ben Chekroune, and a number of officials from both parties.
Tawakul expressed the Corporation’s pride of attaining such a prestigious international certificate and joining the group of institutions accredited by the Association which, she said, reflects the high quality of processes and systems at ET and the professional level of its team, adding that this is an additional step towards the success of Emirates Transport’s efforts to achieve a strategic transformation and achieve continuous institutional development.
The executive director of the Support Services added that achieving the ACCA Approved Employer statues will enhance ET’s competitiveness and institutional reputation and develop its own cadres, and confirms the commitment of Emirates Transport to adhere to the best practices and standards in finance and accounting management, in addition to responding to the requirements of governance and transparency.
For her part, Gopalani expressed her delight in seeing Emirates Transport join the band of institutions accredited by the Association, stressing the importance of such a prominent addition to achieving its mission of enhancing the value of accounting across the globe, and further advance the accounting work environment in the UAE, in particular.
The Head of Middle East ACCA added that the Association is constantly looking to expand this fruitful cooperation with ET and other government institutions in the country.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an international association specializing in training and qualifying accountants as well as conducting research and related studies, based on the highest international accounting and auditing standards that are designed to provide its members with the necessary skills to understand the financial needs of organizations and to evaluate and propose work solutions. The Association counts 67 of the finest government and private institutions in the UAE amongst its members.
